Weight Loss Journey 2021 - August 9th

It is time to face the music and tell you how I did the past couple days. Well, Friday evening I went off plan because we went to the fair. I got a hamburger and some fries. I also got another drink from the soda frenzy truck. Saturday we went to Taco Bell and they had the nacho fries - so I got some. Ended up just eating carbs that whole day too. Sunday came and I was already upset with my weight and blood sugars...so finished the weekend off with carbs. Today I am back on plan though...and hope my numbers will start to improve (not if I keep going off plan). Weigh in? Highest in a while - 192 (yikes). Blood sugars? Fasting - 301 Meal 1 -- Meal 2 - 153 Meal 3 - 137 So, I did drop it by half after meal 2...and then even more after meal 3. I know I will wake up in the 200's though. Takes a while for the fasting to drop, and adding carbs in again just makes it even harder. Anyways, what did I eat? Meal 1 - 2 eggs and 3 sausage strips (they look like bacon but are sausage) coffee with 2 tablespoons heavy cream Did an hour of dancing after this meal. Burned 465 calories (approx). Meal 2 - 6 slices of deli ham 2 slices of cheese 1 caramel cup fat bomb Meal 3 - 1 oz of pork loin chop ( had 5 oz on the plate but I couldn't eat more than 1 oz) 2 string cheese (mozzarella) Quest peanut butter cups Macros for everything? Calories - 1,250 Protein - 82 Fat - 90 Net carbs - 15 Sugars -11 Water - about 36 oz I don't think I did too bad today....would have been better if I could have ate all the pork...but I have never been a big fan of pork (I know ham is...but deli ham is okay). So, what do you think of my day of eating? Do you think the scale will be kind in the morning? Hoping to at least lose what I gained over the weekend! How did you do - if you'd like to share of course?

The blood sugar thing is so strange to me. Like it’s hard to imagine how high it is BEFORE or while NOT eating. Bizarre! I had some very off days this past week where I just ate JUNK. But now the calories are back under control. For now. Wishing you all the best!!

It was high from what I ate the day before, and it is usually higher first thing in the day. If I eat low carb it will lower though because then I am not eating foods that spike it. Well if you you don't have blood sugar problems, then eating junk for a few days shouldn't hurt too much...especially if you eat better after.

you are doing something right in the day if your sugars are going down

Glad those dropped as much as they did. I want to know if you start felling better physically after being on keto for a few days. If you do concentrate on that to help you stay on track. I know I feel less bloated and have more energy when I dont eat a bunch of starchy foods

@MommyOfEli2013 I will guess that is the carbs affecting you. Maybe concentrating on that will help you stay on track

I am glad too, and this morning it wasn't as high as I figured. Though I had carbs again so tomorrow I will be back up in the blood sugar. I have a problem. I never thought if it helping me feel better....but I know when I go back to carbs I just get so tired and have no energy

Going off-plan wasn't a wise idea, though I understand with the fair. Your numbers are coming down. I hope your weight does. I'm doing okay.

Went off plan again today, I just have a problem. I just can't say no to carbs. I know I need to say no, but some days I just can't. That's good to hear you are doing okay

Have you ever tried to do a fasting for losing weight?

Like intermittent fasting? Or longer?

@MommyOfEli2013 sound like that, but you have hold yourself to not eat for at least 14 hours

The trip was hospitable to you. That's why so much can be eaten on a trip. However, it is not possible to say how many foods are included in the nomination. But I can't help but appreciate your plan. You are a very beautiful and faithful hardworking person. It is understood in this plan ......
