I took out two books from the library I think last week. One is called A Catered Costume Party and the other is called A Catered Cat Wedding. They are by author Isis Crawford. The two main characters in these books, who are sisters, own a catering company A Little Taste of Heaven. Aside from running their catering business they try to solve a murder that takes place. Both are mysteries with recipes. There are actually some recipes at the end of the book.
I just finished reading A Catered Costume Party and am ready to start A Catered Cat Wedding. I've read some of Isis Crawford's books in the past and was happy when I stumbled upon these two books in the library. She has written many mysteries with recipes. I plan on reading all the ones I haven't read, assuming I can find them in the library. Once I start reading a book I do not want to put it down.

I'm happy to hear that you still take advantage of your local public library. There are so many wonderful books and other resources at the library that people never discover. I'm a big supporter and fan of the library. I live right down the street from our city's main library branch, and it is huge. I always love going there, plus it's free!

I am glad that we can browse books again now. Before we were only allowed to place books on hold and then pick them up due to the pandemic. It was hard to do unless I had a specific book in mind.

@lovebuglena Yeah, I'm definitely a browser, so I would have gone crazy not being able to peruse all the titles at the library.

@moffittjc I just remembered that for a brief time recently we were allowed to browse books but we were only given a 30-minute limit. That's not enough.

Thank. I am. I wish I was reading more though. Sometimes I go online and can't get myself to get off so I can read.

The books you are reading are more on cooking. Aren't they?

Nope. It's a novel in the mystery genre. But there are a few recipes in the back and food is woven into the storyline as well since the main characters run a catering business.
