Every time that I find a documentary about old civilizations I leave everything I´m doing and watch in awe. Today History channel was showing archeologic finds in Mexico a lot older than the Mayas. The Olmecas lived in what is now called the Yucatan peninsula. The Olmecas lived and flourished when the Roman Empire was in full bloom in the other side of the planet. Do you like this kind of documentaries?

I love documentaries in general but oringins of peoples are really interesting to me. I watched one recently about the first peoples that migrated to the Americas. The land bridge across the Bering Sea beteeen Asia and Alaska brought people to a pristine land that stretched from near the North Pole nearly all the way to Antarctica. Different groups settled in many places but not much is known about many of the lost civilizations. More research is bound to come up with explanations why so many thrived for so long and then just disappeared. I can't get enough of programs like these.

Thes are wonderful. The archeologists have thought that maybe the Olmecas came from Asia, judgings by their face.

@marguicha They had to come from Asia says all the evidence. I'm curious now. I haven't seen anything at all on Olemecas on the Yucatan. I'll have to look for a documentary now. Isn't this stuff fascinating?
