Even though the rescue of a turtle by a rookie Franklin Massachusetts police officer Victoria McVicar happened 16 days ago is not exactly something that is a huge news deal compared to saving the life of a person in trouble in a burning building or burning auto, it is nice to learn that a rookie police officer cares for the welfare of an animal in the streets of Franklin is a good start. Officer McVicar recently graduated from the Randolph Police Academy who is now beginning her 12 week field training as a police officer in Franklin. We all have to begin somewhere in life when we start earning a living in our lives. Hopefully Officer McVicar will have a very successful career in her work as a police officer for many years to come.

Good for her. Society is judged on how they take care of animals. We certainly are better with the likes of Officer McVicar around.

Yes, it was good that she didn't go into her shell around this turtle, but stuck her neck out to save it...lol...A great story.

@Deepizzaguy With a name like McVicar, she might have made a good Vicar too, with her kind heart, and wanting to save both people, and animals too....lol...
