Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters Today, I feel worried for my sister in law the wife of my brother. My brother is working in other country to provide good life to his family. That`s why my sister in law is the only one taking good care of their kids now. Life is really hard to be alone Yesterday, she got her 1st dose of vaccine Moderna and it was ok that day but today she started to have rashes on her face and it started to swollen. She now went to the emergency with some friends with her for quick check up. I hope and pray that she`ll be ok. Do you think if she have a bad reaction from the vaccine. They can change the 2nd shot? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

Really don't know if the doctors would change. I don't think so...it would really difficult for her to handle this in the absence of your brother.

This is a common reaction, that will soon go away. Will they change her vaccine? Her doctor will determine if this is safe.

It's ok dear don't panic. This maybe just a side effect. Does she have any other medical problems? I think the doctor will be able to make her alright.

The doctor first analyzes which vaccine is suitable for a person's condition, if it is good it can be continued, if not it can be postponed.

It sounds like she's having an allergic reaction to it and shouldn't take the second dose.

They said its a common reaction to have rashes as a side effect, its not advisable to change vaccine midway, since it might cause harmful adverse effects.

I don't think that should have happened. Perhaps your sister-in-law did not have enough or neglected to give me her full medical data. So there was a reaction after the vaccine was administered. It is hoped that your sister-in-law will recover quickly and be reunited with her children.

Make sure to tell the doctors (at the vaccination place) that she had a reaction, what kind of reaction, and what was done (going to the emergency, being given an injection, what was the injection given, etc.). If she goes to her scheduled 2nd dose, the doctor at the site will ask her first anyway before making a recommendation whether or not to proceed with the 2nd dose. However, she might want to call ahead now (I mean, don't wait for the 2nd dose schedule). I'm sure there's a number to call on her vaccination card. You might want to inform them already that she had a reaction and see if they will recommend that she can still get the 2nd dose of the same vaccine, or if they will opt to schedule her for a different vaccine.
