Took my walk on the trail this morning, not just the short version I've been used to, but the extended I've been walking lately. Above you can see evidence of the flooding. The creek is still high and overflowing in some areas and running fast.
I put my Fitbit back on and have my 10K steps after I got back. The trail is 9759 steps.
When I checked the weather this morning, it showed this is the nicest weekend of the summer. It was in the 50s. I didn't check the weather before I headed for the trail. I was drenched in sweat when I got home as I wore my Packers hoodie. I'm glad I did. I avoided being mosquito food as I walked the trail.
I took a shower and changed into proper clothing for today. Packers tee shirt and green and gold beads along with gray shorts. It's the first pre-game of the year. It's good there are pre-season games this year. I expect the fans will fill Lambeau Field tonight. I wish I could see it. I'm going to try listening to it on the radio. We'll see how that goes.
How is your day stacking up? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me from the trail this morning.

Here in Florida it's tough to hike any trails right now, not just because of the high summer heat and humidity, but also because the mosquitoes will absolutely east you alive. We have a lot of flooding right now due to the more-than-usual rainfall we've had this summer, so the mosquitoes are worse than normal.
Glad you were able to get out and enjoy a nice walk in nature!

Is it true you can substitute a mosquito for a baseball for your baseball games?
We've had more rain than usual for August. Almost 5 inches. Going from drought conditions to saturation and more mosquitoes than I like.
Thank you. It was good to get on the trail and see how the creek was faring.

@just4him Let’s just say the mosquito should qualify as our state bird! Lol

Thank you. Lots of green. Lots of water too. The water in the picture isn't supposed to be there. That's how much the creek still overflows its banks.
