OUCH. Physical therapy just seems to fit a Monday morning. That’s over now, and it’s time for lunch and a song! I’m gonna shoot off another tune from my list of favorites with “gun” in the title. To NJ Chic’s infinite joy and happiness here’s today’s song. #8: With a Gun - Steely Dan Don’t say I didn’t give you fair warning it was coming, NJ. (She hates them.) While Steely Dan could be as cryptic as humanly possible with their lyrics, this one is pretty straightforward. If you think the gun violence is bad now, remember that this song is forty eight years old. It’s a little short and little unlike “Josie” or “Peg” or what you came to expect from latter-day Steely Dan. That doesn’t make it any less good. For most of us, anyway. With a Gun Written by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen Recorded by Steely Dan From Pretzel Logic, 1974 Did you pay the other man:

Not familiar with Steely Dan's music; and this one is no exception.
