I was doing a survey and my laptop almost died

I decided to do a survey on Swagbucks. It was supposed to be a short survey. It turned out to be a very long survey.
I noticed that the battery on my laptop was getting low. I plugged it in but the power adapter didn't seem to be working. I tried reconnecting it many times, among other things, even holding it in my hands, but nothing worked.
I started freaking out because I didn't want my laptop to shut off before I finished the survey. The survey questions wouldn't end. Just when I thought this would be the last question there would be more.
Luckily, I was able to complete the survey with a few minutes of battery life left, but only to find out I got only 20 SB for it. So much time spent for so little points.
I tried fumbling with the power adapter again and now it seems to be charging my laptop. I have no idea what's wrong with the darn thing that the connection doesn't always work. I don't want to have buy a new one. The power adapter that is.

@lovebuglena It doesn't have to be the same brand, the important thing is that the voltage is the same and the wattage no lower than as the one you use for your laptop.

I know but you might have to get a new adapter if that one has some sort of thing wrong.
You are more tenacious than I. Those surveys are so annoying.
Now all that for 20 SB.
I tell you.
I did get lucky this morning with a survey on myPoints tho..it was short and brought me up to enough to get an Amazon GC

I had no idea it was gonna be so little SB. And it was supposed to be a short survey. I hate when they do that--tell you it is a short survey but then it is not.

I do not want to buy a new adapter. I wouldn't even know where to get the one I need. But when I do surveys I should make sure to have it plugged in and charging before proceeding. Just in case.

@lovebuglena eBay is the only place or possibly Amazon.

Power abdators just wear out, sometimes more easily than you might think. You may need to replace it sooner then you'd like. If I buy a laptop online, I'll order a second adaptor just to have one handy.

It's weird. Hubby's laptop is older than mine and his adapter works just fine. Maybe because he doesn't use his laptop that often.

I once did a survey on swagbucks and I accidently shut down the page. I freaked out, but I got the page back up and it continued the survey. I can't remember if I had completed it though.

Good that you were able to get back into it.

Could it be the cord? I'm glad you were able to finish the survey, even though you didn't get many points for it.

Not sure if it’s the chord itself or that adapter thing itself. Either way, I don’t want it to stop working altogether. Don’t want to have to buy a new one.
