Hubby's Dinner This Week Evens The Score

Hubby had another dinner to cook this week as I worked on Wednesday and had to close at Girl Boss Boutique. We didn't get out of the store until 6:20. I had to run fill up van with gas and stop at the post office and run by house in Central before heading home. I got home sooner than I expected around 8:00 pm. I got a text mid afternoon from hubby and he said he was taking pork chops out of the freezer for dinner. I said that sounds good and asked what else he was fixing. He had no clue. So I suggested a potato salad and brussel sprouts. He makes a good potato salad so I knew that was safe and how hard is it to fix brussel sprouts? I got home and a nice aroma met me. I came into the kitchen and he told me he burned the brussel sprouts. He even made the commet that he pulled one of my tricks and boiled the water out of the pan and the brussel sprouts burned. So I took a look at them and told him we could save them. They were not burned that bad. I drained them and put them in another microwavable pots and added a little water and some butter and popped them into the microwave to finish cooked. They turned out okay. The pork chops were delicious and I mentioned that he used a lot of seasoning; and I hoped it wouldn't bother his acid reflux. He threw the comment back to me that he wanted to make sure I tasted the seasoning this time. LOL! Nice jab there. All in all, he did a great job and we both enjoyed the meal. This brings him up to 1-1 on his cooking detail for my work days. He's on a roll. I hope next week goes well also. Note: Sorry about the duplicate.
