Might Get a Stand Mixer

My grandma has one that she never uses, so she might let me have it. It is definitely and older model and has some other attachments.
Not exactly the stand mixer I wanted, but it definitely would be helpful as long as it works as a stand mixer. Especially if I am going to be making a lot of protein breads.
Do you have a stand mixer? An older model or newer version?

I have a KitchenAid model K5SS.
It was a wedding present from my wife's mother.
I really don't know what I'd do without it.
It cleans easily and came with a dough hook, a whisk and a batter mixer.
I have repainted it once and had to buy a replacement dough hook one time.
It will be 37 years old in November.
Any mixer is better than no mixer.
Especially when it comes to bread.

Not sure about the model, but I know KitchenAid ones are nice.
That's great you have had it that long and it has done well for you
Well, I was mixing the egg whites with a hand mixer and that is just a pain.
It worked, but too much trouble lol

@MommyOfEli2013 I probably don't even need one. I don't make enough things needing one. Usually, I whisk by hand. Maybe later I will so I keep the hand one.

@noni1959 I don't make a lot even needing a hand mixer either - but this bread would be so much easier to make in a stand mixer lol

@just4him That is true, it's just been up in her cupboard....she may have used it quite often when he gave it to her...but I haven't seen her use it in a long time.

Well that is good to know...I just want one that will do the mixing for me mostly. That is very nice of her...it was a gift from my grandpa....but she never uses it

I know they would be a pain to clean....but it would be nice to have something to do the mixing for me. I can understand why not to buy them though.
If I am going to use the protein bread weekly I will need to make batches a couple times a week at least....and I would mix other things I am sure
