So….how do you balance out a Rolling Stones countdown? How about with the should-be Hall of Famer Neil Sedaka?! YES, I really do have songs by both on my iPod. Aren’t you glad you don’t live next to me?! 
I’ve threatened to do a Neil Sedaka countdown for a long time, so here it is!

I’m sure you know, if you know anything at all about Neil Sedaka, that this song is about Carole King. King and Sedaka were in high school together. No, they were never romantically linked, but they both ended up in the same profession, so why not!
And, yes, Carole King reciprocated with an “Oh! Neil” answer.

I did not know what to make of him back in the day. Didnt hate him, just wasnt crazy for him.

I didn’t discover him until his “comeback” era in the mid-70s. He was my first non-country music concert, in 1976. I saw him again in 2016, and he was spectacular.

I like a lot of Sedaka songs just this one never made it on my like list, Somehow I did not like the song.
