HERO That Shot Ashli Babbitt Will Not Face Charges!

The identity of the Capitol police officer that fatally shot terrorist Ashli Babbitt as she tried to break into the House chamber in the US Capitol is finally known. It was Lieutenant Michael Byrd
“I had been yelling and screaming as loud as I was, ‘Please stop, get back, get back,‘” Byrd told NBC Nightly News’ Lester Holt in an interview that aired Thursday evening. He said he had no choice.
I couldn't agree more; he saved countless lives because had she gotten through that window and opened the door to let the crazed mob of pro-Trump terrorists in there no doubt would have been many of our members of Congress and the Senate and perhaps even former Vice President Pence brutally murdered.
It's always sad when someone so young is killed but this woman knew what she was doing. She was a terrorist, not just some innocent bystander that somehow got swept away by the huge crowd.
What scares me is that now that Byrd's life and the lives of his family members may now be in danger from the MAGA crowd. The disgraced former president, Donald Trump, has demanded the identity of Babbitt's shooter be revealed and he's made her out to be a fallen hero when nothing could be further from the truth.
Any thoughts?

I don't care who you are or who you support, trying to overrun and take over ANY Government or LE facility deserves a shot to the head.
Zero tolerance in my book.
If you try to attack the Capitol, you should be shot.

My thoughts exactly. If she had gotten into that chamber and let the rest of that crazed mob in I think we all know there would have been massive casualties among our elected leaders and their staffs and families, even their kids.
You know, I've said this several times since the attack on our Capitol, we all do our share of complaining about Congress and the Senate but the bottom line is every one of them were elected by voters who wanted them there whether we as individuals agree with them or not, and none of them deserve to be harmed by a bunch of lunatics that want to overthrow our government and destroy our democracy or, as some will correct me, our democratic republic.

It's sad this man was "outted" now he is going to have to live the rest of his life in fear. Sad, she was shot as well, but you choose the behavior you choose the consequences, same with him I suppose..at least that is what others will argue.

@NJChicaa I have to give him credit for that, for outing himself I mean. I just hope nothing happens to him. In any case, I'm sure there were some people who already knew who he was so sooner or later those who wish him harm would learn his identity. I just hope he and his family get the protection they need and deserve. I'm just so glad he's not being charged with anything.
