Sedaka and the Stones. How’s that for a combo? Hey, Mick is mentioned in today’s Sedaka tune, so it isn’t that far a stretch. Today’s song on my favorites from The Rolling Stones wasn’t a hit, but that hardly matters. Good music doesn’t always make it to the top of the charts. Here’s today’s Stones rocker. #7: Dance Little Sister Hey, it’s only rock and roll, but I like it! Actually, that’s the album this came from. And this is from back in the days when a song didn’t necessarily have to be a hit to be played on the radio. There really was a human being in a local radio station studio, and you could call him and he would take your request! This got plenty of airplay in the 70s, so lots of people wanted to hear it. Of course, it was also the B-side of “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” the Stones’ cover of the Temptations’ hit, so more than one DJ probably played the wrong side of the 45. And that’s okay by me!
