Hindus offer puja to Lord Krishna on Krishna Janmasthami. It is the day Lord Krishna, the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu was born. Hindus worship the idol of Lord Krishna give rangoli or alpona with rice husk. Then puja is done by uttering mantras and offering flowers, fruits sweets to Lord Krishna.

I never knew this festival exists until today as we didn't got any holiday or my parents never celebrated it

thanks Dishaji in my state also no holiday given. I did the puja and thereafter from 12 had to take online classes.

thanks Ocean in courts when witnesses and accused are asked to take oath they put their hand on holy Bhagwat Gita of Lord Krishna and take the bow whatever they will say is truth and only truth.
