Home from the putting, the laundry’s done, and now all there is to do is give you another Rolling Stones tune! Both countdowns today feature a familiar tune from the 70s. Let’s rock and Rolling Stones! #6: Beast of Burden Spoiler alert: this is my favorite Stones album. Did you know Bette Midler covered this? AND got Jagger to appear in the video? AND take a pie to the face at the end of the video???!! Now, as I said when I started this countdown, I’m not a big Stones fan, so my opinion shouldn’t count for much. Having said that, I think she did a pretty darn good cover! But this countdown is about the late Charlie Watts and his singer (as he infamously called Jagger once…Mick and Keith came in a little loaded [whatever “a little loaded” is for them ], and Mick called Charlie’s room at 5 AM and said, “Hey, where’s my drummer?” The story goes that Charlie got up, showered, shaved, put on a suit, went down to see Mick….and punched him in the nose and said, “Don’t you ever call me ‘your drummer’ again!
