New Cookie to Make

My mom was on facebook and found this recipe for Jello cookies. It was an interesting idea and I wanted to try it.
So I did what I actually shouldn't have done and stopped work on a whim yesterday to make them.
It was surprisingly easy to do and didn't really take a whole lot of time.
All you do is make a snickerdoodle batch and add jello powder to flavor or taste.
I do forget that the flavor tends to bake out so you have to put a tad more powder than you really want to get that punch.
Can't complain too much though. They turned out pretty good. I took some to training last night and a friend ate all the strawberry ones.
I may even try to sell them at the next yard sale we have. I was thinking about trying to sell a few cookies just to see if they would sell.
Not too sure about it yet though.
Even if I don't, they're a hit with friends. :)

That is very interesting. I have never heard of jello cookies. I hope if you decide to sell them they do well. That is great that you have friends to give them too if you do not sell them.

That was your first time making them and now you know to make changes. Good luck with the fundraiser.

Oh yeah. The strawberry disappeared at training last night and my mom stole the cherry ones. Lemon and peach needed more flavoring. Better to know for next time.
I haven't really decided if I will or not. My husband is kind of pushing it. We need to do a fundraiser at the station next year and I though we could do a cookout and bake sale but the baking would fall to me so I'm not sure if I'm good enough. It would be a type of test.

They don't really taste like jello, just the fruit flavor. I want to try to add real fruit to them next time

@JordanLader hmm that would be interesting. if fruits don't work, you can always add chocolate chips

What I love about them is that they're so easy. You can use a mix or make them from scratch. I made mine from scratch.

@JordanLader Plus, jello is good to the digestive system.

The Jello doesn't only add flavor but color as well. It's awesome lol

Jello cookies are not something I ever heard of before but they sound interesting. Hope they sell at your yard sale. Maybe you found yourself a new career?

I don't think I'm that good. Thank you though.
If we do it'll be like a test. We have to have a fundraiser next year for the station and I thought of a cook out/bake sale. The baking would fall to me so I guess I need to figure something out. See if they would even sell.
