We’re getting into some heavy duty song selection now when it comes to my favorite songs by The Rolling Stones. The top three can change order any given week! Meanwhile, here’s the next song on the list.
#4: She’s a Rainbow
Meeting of the minds! John Paul Jones, who would soon become the bassist for Led Zeppelin, did the string arrangement on this song. That’s the legendary Nicky Hopkins on piano.
And, of course, the Stones.
What’s this song about? Drugs? Sex? Rock and roll? Probably. But there are times you need to stop looking for deep meanings (“she combs her hair,” is that a reference to the George Jones song “You Comb Her Hair”?
) and just enjoy a great song.
And this qualifies.
