Want to know how to use your phone's internet service to get on the internet on your laptop?! I finally figured this out the other day!! Just plug your charger into your phone and the other end into the laptop. Then go to settings on your phone and select network and internet, then hotspot and tethering, then tap USB tethering share internet Connection through USB. USB is through your charger. And there you go!! You can also do this through blue tooth, but I haven't figured that out yet. I'm so glad now I can use my laptop anywhere without paying for extra internet!! I'm a genius!!!

You could have switch on your hotspot on your phone, it will work as your WiFi connection. You could use your internet without your charger wires.

@db20747 It doesn't work with Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a radio wave system. It doesn't do anything with internet.

Tethering doesn't work with my phone. I would just open my personal hotspot.

@db20747 no, I use my mobile data. Just turn on personal hotspot. You can find it in your phone too. Just make sure you set the password.

I also do that. I only load my phone and stare it with other devices such as laptop and other phones. I am even using prepaid data.

You just need the hotspot and teathering option. You don't have to plug your phone in for it to work. You also need to check your phone's service plan, because they can restrict how much data you can use in order to use your phone as a hotspot. Plugging in your phone is recommended because this hotspot option will drain your battery quickly otherwise.
