Whats in Your Garden?

September 2, 2021 5:41pm CST
Sharing a pic of my organic pepper plants, they are coming along nicely and I may enjoy a couple in soup today. My microgreens and cilantro died off during the heatwave but not before I enjoyed them in a few meals :) Does anyone else grown your own veggies this Summer and if so, what's in your garden?

The backyard of my garden is basically a few trees in the open field behind the fence.

Sounds like you could grow a lot in an open field. Good soil?

@Deepizzaguy oh that's good, I hope you have the opportunity to grow a few of your favorites sometime. It's a great feeling for me to know that I've grown it of my own efforts and that its clean . I'm sure the more experienced gardeners in here know that well. I'm new but getting better. I never have much good luck with my cilantro though I don't know why.

Flowers are wonderful, I planted a little fairy garden, a kind of mini enchanted forest.

I made a little garden in a few pots on my balcony and planted some romaine lettuce which did very well. I was also able to grow some edible weeds such as lamb's quarters, purslane and chickweed which grew very nicely.

Our garden is pretty huge with many fruit trees, perennial flowers, a lawn on the terrace and a few seasonal flowers. We do not have vegetables. We had them before. We are planning on getting something done this time. Your pepper plant looks cute.

We use to have a garden but when Mike's, my husband, dad got terminally sick we stopped. We didn't have the time taken care of his dad. We use to grow peppers, tomatoes, corn, onions, beets and green beans. We never did grow herbs as much, we don't use much of anything in our cooking but salt and pepper. We may go back to having one sometime. We still help his mom as much as we can. She just turned 89. Your peppers look lovely.
