Vaccines have expiration?

Vaccination Card, SINOVAC
Philippines

I really thought once you get vaccinated, it's a resistant for a life time against covid. I was wrong and didn't know that It won't last. I heard that the vaccine I had only last six months. No wonder people are choosy with having vaccines. No wonder people talked about having boosters lately because of this. Not to mention some one responded way back that they had three dose of vaccine, this is crazy. How many more do we need just to have a strong chance against covid19? But I couldn't wait. Because the rise of delta variant I need some resistance.. Have a nice day

no, it is not lifetime. Like the flu vaccine that you have to get a shot yearly

A lot of vaccines require boosters. The main difference with the Covid vaccine is that we're having it as adults whereas a lot of established vaccines, plus boosters where they're needed, are given in childhood. People seem to be questioning a lot about the Covid vaccine that applies to other vaccines. I can understand the concerns of people who (wrongly) believe that these vaccines haven't been fully tested or are still only trials, but a lot of concerns seem to be based on the fact that people just don't understand how vaccines work.

Hello @pumpkinjam I'm totally ignorant of these vaccines, specially with regards to covid. I could have had a vaccine from chicken pox before not sure if that's related. Well, so far so good.

In the US, there is news that booster shots will be given every five months. With how CoViD-19 has been mutating with variants, it is really important to get a vaccine with a long-lasting efficacy.

@Letranknight2015 the virus is mutating with its variants. So it only makes sense that the vaccine is upgraded as well to provide for better protection.

We might get some of those in the future @allen0187 so this is what the talks of the boosters is all about.

It is basically a flu virus and as such I knew we would need boosters.

So you mean, you've been vaccinated and not informed well about those vaccines? You should know well the information before taking the shots.

No, they did not @angelitovillegas I got encourage enough to get vaccinated because Mom had it earlier than me. Not to mention the delta variant cases started to rise. Is there anything else about the vaccines I should know about? All I know is that if my mom survived the vaccination then so can I.
