Friday was another full day for me. I had the 2-6 shift at Girl Boss. The boutique was open all week starting Tuesday because they had electricity and the two owners did not at home. So at least they would enjoy lights and air conditioning at the store. We had some so-so days but had a fair amount of customers and sales all week. People were getting stir crazy staying home with no electricity after Hurricane Ida. So a little shopping trip in the A/C did them good. At one point yesterday the two of us had our hands full with customers and visitors. I laughed when the owner asked me what happened to the lady that was looking at shirts? I told her that I had sold her a dress and matching shoes. She was a little surprised that I checked her out all by myself. I'm technically still in training. She was assisting a customer with finding a homecoming dress that she liked and her mother approved of. She did find a dress and a backup! She also had her eyes on a pair of shoes to match and I think that is how she decided she wanted a black dress. LOL. We were also busy with incoming orders. I think we got in 6 different shipments of various things. One was jewelry for homecoming. One was waterproof boots which we really needed last week, but better late than never! We ended up tagging the boots and putting them out on the floor. Other deliveries were clothing. I did sleep late today. We went to a Chinese place on the way home. It was a toss up between Chinese and Mexican and I let the hubby win on that one. But before we got home I was feeling sick. I was nauseous when we went up and down the hills on the way home. I was fine this morning when I woke up so whatever it was went away pretty fast. I've just been taking it easy today. Do you have any plans for the Labor Day weekend?
