I think my icemaker got peeved, I bought ice and now has decided to start working again

I had talked about the icemaker being on the blink, but when I went out and bought ice, it suddenly sprung to life and decided to start producing ice again. It reminds me of a couple with fertility struggles deciding to adopt and then getting pregnant. Coincidence with this and the icemaker, probably not...I think it only works when it feels like it though. Do you have any appliances with "A mind of their own?"

Funny, but irritating. It's the same when my friend decides to WASH his truck. On the day he goes to wash it, it RAINS!

We had a refrigerator that worked whenever it pleased. Instead of throwing out spoiled food and milk a few times a month, we junked it for a newbie!

Yeah, a fridge is kind of vital, an icemaker really is not, and I am not gonna pay big bucks to fix it. The fridge is probably about 13 years old, and if it breaks I will just get another one. This one has seen better days.

@snowy22315 We need a new refrigerator about every 15 years, never longer than this.

@kobesbuddy Yes, that seems to be the lifespan of most appliances these days.

I used to think so, but no, not anymore. All my things work, which is a good thing.

The chilled water in our fridge 'failed to proceed' yesterday but then, after a short while, it did the right thing and supplied us with water. Heaven knows what got into it.

I am not sure. Roomie was theorizing the lines got frozen on ours but it is jus special ulation. Like I said, it just seems to work when it gets a notion to

The refrigerator sometimes makes funny noises. But it works fine so far.

This one works alittle too well it seems. I had to turn it down the other day I meant I raised the temp a bit didn't lower it. It seemed a little too cold in the frisge

that is the way of machines, wait until you try to replace them and then work again!
