An Illinois teen sets a state record catching a huge fish in Minnesota

Even though I am not into the sport of fishing, I am amazed that an Illinois teen named Brecken Kobylecky who is 15 years of age has set a Minnesota state fishing record by catching a 46 1/4 inch northern pike fish on Basswood Lake which is located in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness on June 19. To make sure that Brecken would not telling a fish story that would be hard to believe by the majority of persons, a guide from Ely Minnesota confirmed the story of the northern pike fish is true. Brecken is now the Minnesota state record holder breaking the previous record of a capture of northern pike that was 45 1/4 inches that was set in 2018 on the Rainy River. The state of Minnesota which is nicknamed the "Land Of 10,000 Lakes" is living up to their nickname since fishing records are likely to be set in the near future by fishermen and fisherwomen of all ages. I know that these kinds of stories are not exactly stories of heroism and reunions of persons who have been separated for a long time. Sometimes a story where a teenager sets a state record catching a fish is nice to share here.
