Possible billing issue after placing an order

My mom's friend's birthday is coming up next week and she wanted to gift her the same comforter she got herself. Since I was the one that had placed the order for her and got her a 15% discount she wanted me to order it for her friend as well. I placed the item in my shopping cart and then used Capital One Shopping to see if it would give me any discount. I ended up getting 15% off this time as well. When it was time to place the order I decided to check out with PayPal so I don't have to manually enter my payment info. I entered my PayPal login info and added a new shipping address as the comforter should be shipped to my mom's friend. After I placed the order I got a notification on my phone that my card was approved. However, when I looked at the page that loaded after the order was finalized the billing info it displayed was not mine but that of my mom's friend. And the shipping address info had my phone number. It never asked me to enter a phone number when I added the new shipping address. And it never asked me to enter a billing address either. I don't even think it showed me the billing address it was gonna use. I went to PayPal to see if the billing address had changed in my account but thankfully the billing address there is still mine. That's good, however, I think I should still contact the seller about this issue. Even though my card was approved the charge is pending. I don't want the seller to cancel my order because of a supposed billing address discrepancy. I wish I had just entered everything manually without using my PayPal account. I found a chat icon on their website but no one was available. I am assuming that is because they are in China and it is night there at the time of me writing this. At least, I think it maybe in China as the comforter I ordered for my mom came from China. I will try again much later in the day when it is morning there.

I wouldn't worry about a billing decerpency. It's not uncommon for someone to use a card that comes from another location. Given you used your card, you would still need to use your billing address, otherwise it could be considered fraud because the card belongs to you, not the person you're gifting the item.

I managed to find a number to call and updated the info. I wonder why the billing info didn't originally show my billing info that is on file in my PayPal account.

I usually never check out by using my PayPal login. After this issue, if I have to order something and ship it to someone other than myself I will just manually enter all the required info to place the order. I've been trying to call my mom to tell her what happened, so she is in the loop. Been trying many times and the phone rings twice and then goes straight to voicemail. I even texted her and no reply. Something must be wrong with her phone or maybe there are reception issues. Either way I am getting frustrated. I think I should just fill out the damn form on the website where I bought the comforter. Online chat thingy is not working. It just brings up the help window.

@JimBo452020 I ended up calling the number I found on the website just now. I got the billing address info corrected. And I updated the phone # in the shipping for that of the recipient. I will receive a confirmation email with the changes. Now I feel calmer.

I still don't get why this happened but I was able to call and update the info. The card had already been charged so it went through but I wanted to update the address just in case anyway. My mom wanted to surprise her friend with this gift. After asking the lady on the phone when it should arrive it seems like my mom's friend won't get it in time for her birthday.
