Carnivorous bee

September 16, 2021 2:25am CST
I was having breakfast with my husband out on the porch and some bees came in to investigate what we were eating. In the end, two of them left with some baloney. And come back and took again baloney. I will enclose the picture where it gets the baloney. I imagined the bees would go for the sweet things on the table. Don't bees like flowers anymore? The best flower.... the baloney flower! :)))))

That is not a bee, it's a wasp. Wasps are carnivorous (they mostly eat aphids and other garden pests) and will sometimes eat meat such as your sausage. At this time of the year, they also eat fruit when it's ripe and get very interested in anything sweet because they are feeding up for the winter.

I see that @owlwings already pointed out that it is not a bee but a wasp, they are carnivorous. I cannot put outside the cat food because they immediately come to eat.

@andreea_v The bees are similar to the wasps, their waist is thinner. The wasps love every kind of meat, included the meat in the cat food.

Yes, I had no ideea that it was a wasp, by the size of it i thought it was a bee. So, wasps like cat food? :)))) another thing I wouldn't have imagined! :)))

The wasp are sharing your food. Some skinny wasp here are starting to dig the ground for their winter hideout.
