A prominent South Carolina attorney named Alex Murdaugh is in the news this evening. What a weird story. First, his wife and son are murdered at their home. Multiple gunshot wounds. Then a woman who worked for them was killed. Now the attorney had a hit put out on himself. Turns out to be a murder for hire. He hired someone to shoot him but they grazed his head. He did this so his son would get a $10 million life insurance payment. There has also been a hit and run accident in 2015 and a suspicious boat crash.
The shooter, Curtis Edward Smith, has been charged with insurance fraud, assisted suicide as well as several other charges including drug-related ones.

NJCHicca I think posted about this the other day. Some people are just really strange. If the guy wanted to die so badly, he should've just walked into traffic.
