It was Malaysia Day on September 16. I wanted to introduce this special day to my kids. The first question my youngest son asked me was "Why are there two birthdays for Malaysia?" We just celebrated our Independence Day or National Day on August 31, and now this is the day Malaysia federation was formed. I shared a little bit of the story with them, the youngest was especially interested. He kept drawing the flags of Malaysia and then other states and countries as well. I showed them the banknotes, and talked about the images shown on each banknote. Again, my youngest was really interested and kept asking me questions. It's a good lesson for them, and for me too. Do you remember the images on your banknotes? Picture: My daughter drew the Malaysia flag, cut a twig from our mulberry tree, and stick the flag to it. (though the flag was not drawn exactly correct )

I researched our banknotes once and it was very interesting to learn about the images on them.
