Not many years ago the postman was the most important personality around. Mother was expecting to receive money order from her son and the slightest delay would make her restless and each time the postman passed she would hope he would visit her.
Then there were letters expected from those men who had their jobs elsewhere and the wives would eagerly wait for the arrival of the postman.
The postman was the VIP of those days There were even jokes about girls falling in love with the postman who regularly visited the house.
What has been your experience?

Most of the time we don't see who delivers our mail. It normally arrives while we're away at work and we pull it out of the mail box after we get home. I was surprised to find that my postman was a postwoman last week. I've never had a woman deliver my mail before.

It is the pandemic that keeps them away from human beings. Even we do not see them these days

What bills does the postman bring? I thought everything was online these days.

@allknowing We do get many paper bills which I pay online. I find it easier to keep track of them.

I don't recieve letters often but I do get deliveries and meet the delivery workers, they work very hard

Couriers can be seen but not the postman as he may have nothing to deliver to you
