Justice for J6 Rally is today

There is a rally in Washington DC today in support of the hundreds of rioters who were arrested for their participation in the insurrection attempt at the US Capitol on January 6. The group organizing it is led by a former Trump campaign staffer. (of course) That individual, Matt Braynard, has said that he is expecting about 700 attendees. He has said that it will be a peaceful rally and that there will be no weapons. He also has asked that people NOT wear Trump gear or anything referencing the election. No sitting Congressmen (or women) are expected to attend but two Congressional candidates have indicated that they will be there. Seriously? You are going to a rally to support people who violently attacked the very building where you want to work? The very people who would have threatened your life if you were there that day? Also the lawyer for Ashli Babbitt's family was invited to speak but it has not been confirmed if he will be there. The US Capitol Police and DC Police are understandably on high alert today. The DC National Guard is also ready to get involved if necessary. Lawmakers and their staffers were advised to stay away from the Capitol Building today. I hope that the rally remains peaceful but I don't have much hope that it will actually happen. People who support insurrectionists clearly don't have the best decision-making skills.
