The photo image here are my students who waited me for 30 minutes . We had a sudden 30 minutes blackout yesterday afternoon . I was thinking these students left our virtual class via GoMeet, but when current went back and internet went back too, I saw them in tact . They are first year college students BS Computer Engineering, perhaps they are afraid to be marked absent .In fact, after 15 minutes of a teacher's disappearance students may leave, but this class never left. I was so happy and when I called them , they answered me. I told them , my location had experienced 30 minutes power interruption. My old lappy also di not give me shame and heartache ,lol. If you were me students, what will you do? Will also stay or go? Thanks dear Mylotters-have a nice Sunday all.

@ThatDisha , yes and love this class. They are obedient, not lousy and OA. I have a class that I do not like. Most of them are boys and they like to bully the girls, and one had bullied me and I told him come here and I will transfer your face to your back and I continued , just make sure that you are good in my class, or else, better drop now. I was really mad that time. Teachers are not robots, they are humans.

They are a good bunch there. You must be happy to find them there waiting for you. 30 minutes is a long wait.

@arunima, yes so true, I was happy and we continued our discussion. Actually, I felt so tired already and wanted to take a nap, but they were there as you can see my eyes, looking so tired and sleepy, oh what a life being a teacher., but better be busy and tired than no money at all

@brokenbee, yes, students can leave the class after 15 minutes late of a teacher , but there are students who are courageous, they remain in class after 15 minutes .I was never late during the f2f class, but there are teachers who are late almost 45 minutes and when she or he enters students are gone

@brokenbee, that's the reward hehe, your teacher is not in the position to do that because he or she was late.

@cacay1 yes we also had that rule way back in college and yes, the instructor was not around in 15 minutes so I left. I went home to my apartment and during the next meeting, the instructor looked for my permit from the Students' Affairs Office because I was marked absent the previous meeting. I was so mad because he was late and then I was the one who was absent. That was the first and last time I entered the SAO... Hmmmm Other students remained in class because we still have classes after that but me, I went home to sleep. Hihihi

@m_audrey6788, you're a very good student then. It's correct plus it takes 11/2 hours class, there's still one hour to tackle.

@m_audrey6788, mind you, there are many who don't like to study. You're studious and that was good of you. During college I studied from 8 pm to 1 am and woke up 8 am.

@RebeccasFarm, students can right away guess where I was. There are only two reasons either blackout or internet off. The same way to my students, many cannot enter the virtual class due to connection problem, no internet, slow internet, on data plan, so pitiful people.

@RebeccasFarm, pitiful in the sense that it's pandemic and they don't have choice but to learn and have focus. Life is getting harder this time and the more wasteful if they lack patience too for teachers no matter how must be resilient and compassionate. Amen.

@LadyDuck, so true. But some of their classmates almost 15 disappeared and kept on asking what has been transpired but they just ignored them for it takes time to elaborate to them the lessons.

@scottishbarbie, hi Scott? You were a nice student then, patient and considerate because if blackout strikes, a teacher cannot be seen on screen, automatically off. I was glad connection came back after 30 minutes so with my internet.

I would waited until things back to normal

@martinus, wow, you're a nice student then. Even in my case if a student, I would surely wait for it is very important to wait who knows there is a small problem. Thanks for sharing Mart.
