I didn't get a whole lot of freebies from work on Friday, but at least what I did find is useful for my household: a loaf of whole wheat bread and a package of good quality hot dogs!
The hot dogs are the reduced-fat variety, which I doubt that anyone will complain about as long as they have a decent texture and flavor. The kids will see that it's not white bread and complain a little, but they don't realize that I've been giving them "white whole wheat" bread this whole time (at least when I have to buy bread).
Did you find any special deals on food this weekend?

Me too! Even if I don't find very much, I always seem to find something I can use in the free areas at work.

Chicken tenderloins were buy one get one, and I got a good deal on some pork to make pulled pork with.
We always buy wheat, unless its for special french toast then its brioche.

I need to stock up on proteins again myself. I used my last package of chicken thighs from the freezer tonight and am down to hot dogs, canned shredded beef, Dollar Tree's knock-off spam, and canned beans.

@spiderdust I need to stack up on canned goods. But I'll have to do that at Dollar Tree later this week. Spent 250 on proteins and snacky stuff yesterday.
