Do you prefer to be vaccinated or not? If no or yes, why?

For myself, I had wanted to be vaccinated so that I can have minimum protection from the severe effects of covid 19. There are some who are anti-vax and I understand their reasons too. It's their personal choice because it's their own lives after all. Only they can make choices for themselves. What about you? What are your thoughts on this? Take care everyone.

I am fully vaccinated. I got my second dose at the end of July. Sadly, few people don't like to get vaccinated because they have something negative about the vaccine in their minds. I don't understand why they are risking theirs as well as others' life by not taking the vaccine.

I guess they're afraid because it's a new vaccine. Thank you for your thoughts.

@sjvg1976 , yes, they should do their own survey to learn the truth or ask their friends who have had the vaccine.

@Jenaisle they are afraid of what? They should consult people who have taken the vaccine.

I was afraid at first, but when my friends told me they were all vaccinated, I went to get my own just recently, and nothing happened, thank God. Just that the injection was like a horse's kick. lol

I've had two vaccinatons. I do *not* understand anti-vaxxers. They can endanger their lives if they feel like it but the problem is that they also endanger the lives of other people.

I can see your point of view. Some anti-vaxxers think that they are being made as guinea pigs because of the short time that the vaccine was produced, when previous vaccines took years and years to develop. But there may be an explanation to this. Perhaps, they have fast-tracked the trials to test the vaccine. I don't know for sure but we can only know the true results after sometime.

@MALUSE Great! I had mine too, and there were no problems. Perhaps, we have to show more people that there are no extreme bad side effects of the vaccine, But I became more forgetful now? lol

@Jenaisle Well, I can only say that I'm not interested in these discussions. I had my two shots and felt fine after each of them. No problems whatsoever.

@Jenaisle I got the vaccines that we were supposed to get and wear a mask when go out but others do not follow the rules so not sure what is right or what is wrong and why it matters whether we get the vaccines or not. I got the first one later because I did not want to be around lots of people and when got the first they told me about when I come back for the 2nd. I got the 3rd right away but do not know if they help or not and feel if people would do what they are supposed to do then maybe the virus will go away.

It's stressful not to know 100 percent what the effects would be.Scientists and vaccine makers are experimenting on how best to approach the problem. I understand too your viewpoint. Yes I do hope the virus will go away eventually, juts like the previous pandemics. Thanks for your thoughts.

It's mandatory here. I guess it's the best way right now to fight the pandemic. More and more people should get vaccinated. I am due for my second shot in October.

@Jenaisle Only those who are advised not to have it should not have it. Others can comfortably go ahead without any fear.

Both my husband and I are fully vaccinated. We'd much rather have the vaccine and take that extra precaution. It was an easy choice to make for us.

Yes, that was a good move. I myself was hesitant at the onset, but then I weighed the benefits for myself, and getting vaccinated has more benefits.

To be honest my personal stand in getting vaccibated is like this . The vaccine once we get vaccinated is not an assurance that we will not get infected by the virus , we can still get sick but with the help of the vaccine it will be just a mild case. I am happy that I am fully vaccinated now and we are still practicing the safety guidelines . Anyone can get infected and the virus I think as time goes by will be like a simple cold virus that is easily cured and prevented.

I think getting vaccinated is cool for protection purposes because even though we have had so many vaccines which have helped. Why not this particular one.

My deepest heart say, I don't need vaccinated. Why? The vaccines itself still need times (a lot of time) to be tested. And see, it's like a magic that vaccines exist in under two years. But for some reasons, I have to be vaccinated because you know, I can't "go anywhere" without the vaccines certificate.

I know, it's like you can be caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. We still don't know the extent of the side effects of the vaccine.
