I Got A New Chair For My Desk!

This is longer than it needs to be, but oh well. Outside of the possible Gratitude Challenge, it’s going to be my only post for today.
As some of you may know, I've started to use the desk in the dining room as my workspace. My niece used the shared computer at the desk, but she got a laptop a few months ago, so she uses it in her room now. Nobody else really uses the desktop computer as much (it was my Dad's, so it's a shared computer, but we all have our own devices), so the desk went unused for the most part. I straightened up a bit, but it was nice to have my own little workspace. It's close to the TV in the dining room, but it's not too close to the snacks that I shouldn't be grabbing constantly lol. Plus I can stay there and work as long as I need.
So, as some of you may also know, I've had to ditch my workspace for a few days. The chair at the desk is pretty old. It doesn't really adjust anymore (we had to get a new desk a few years ago, but nobody really had any complaints about the chair at the time), and I'm short, so I can't readjust it to sit comfortably and at eye level with my laptop screen. It was also hurting my back and hip because I was straining to properly reach everything. In addition, the chair is just bulky and in the way. It's past its time, to be honest.
I was originally going to order one from Amazon or Walmart and use Klarna or PayPal's Pay-In-4 option, but my brother-in-law told me to wait before ordering it. He said the office at the warehouse of his work (he does stuff like repairs, installations, etc.) upgrades their furniture from time to time, so he'd check first to see if they had any chairs they no longer needed.
Guess what my brother-in-law bought home from the warehouse today? Yay! A new chair, and I didn't have to shell out the money on it. It’s not as bulky, has armrests (some of the smaller ones I found on Amazon didn’t have armrests, which was on my “wishlist” for a chair) and I can adjust the height of it as needed!
I won’t have a lot of time to work tomorrow, so I’ll continue to work at the dining table. I’ll start setting up my workspace over the weekend, and I'll start working at my desk again this upcoming Monday. I also want to eventually “decorate” it a little (i.e., motivational signs or a few knick-knacks), but that’s not as high on the priority list as creating a comfortable, convenient place to work right now.
Alrighty, I’m going to wrap this up because this was too long of a post to say “I got a new chair”, but I was a little excited (and grateful) lol. I’ll be back in a few for the Gratitude Challenge.

I'm happy to hear you have a comfy workspace. I kind of have the same. Or I should say I'm working on it. Congrats on the chair. I'm sure it'll make your work more comfortable.
