Probably this is not the season for relishing ice candy but for me if I can get hold of that I will relish it in any season As kids this was the only cold stuff that was available at the price we could afford. The candy man would sell his wares from door to door and we would anxiously hoped mother would buy it for us. What was your childhood craving?

@sol_cee Are they in plastic bags? . We have these. I have made them myself with fruit juices from fruits that grow in our property.

I loved candy and would save my change for the next trip to the store so I could stock up! I remember those tiny little bags that the kids got to put thier candles in!

@allknowing I remember waiting for ice cream trucks. My cousins who lived next door would go nuts. I had it all figured out though that I could get a whole box of 6 at the grocery store so I didn't run out to meet the truck often.

Yes in childhood for us, the ice cream truck would come and we would pick an Orange Dreamsicle.

@allknowing Not like the ones back in the day..but ours back in the day looked so much different when I was a kid. This gives you an idea of what would come down our street when I was a kid..it was actually a car, not so hot rodded up though

@allknowing Chocolate wafers with ice cream in between. I only like the hard wafers and none from the supermarket.

Funny you post this. I have been craving ice cream sandwich... even though it's fall now. As for childhood? I liked lick-em-ade - candy sticks you would dip into powder candy

I loved fudgesicles and dreamcicles. My parents would make homemade ice cream a lot also.
