Such a beautiful day filled with sunshine. Took a trip to the state park.
Not too many people around. Had a nice walk. Saw lots of birds and squirrels.
Then visited Cotton the owl. She was rescued by the park rangers years ago.
They found her as a baby in the snow. Looked like a cotton ball. That is how she got her name. She will never be able to fly. Some type of birth defect perhaps. Therefore the park is her forever home.
Not to worry, she is very well taken care of. And she goes on trips to schools, etc.
Photo is mine. I visited awhile with her, talking to her and watching her turn her head all the way around. Nature is just amazing.

I am so glad she is well cared for Carol.
This jogged my memory just now of going to an Owl Nature reserve or whatever it is called many years ago with my then fiance in England. It was lovely to see them.

I like to list en to the hoot owls around my place at night. There are times when you can hear 3 or 4 hooting at one time.

Too bad she can no longer fly, but she's got a good home and is being well cared for.
