Rain stopped me...Another Round of PTM.

Good afternoon from this side of the planet It's 2:43 PM here. A little tired after a good muscle work in my garden. I could take the weeds out of another 20 pots, loosen their soil and add some compost to them. Made some soil ready for my seed tray and planted few gourds there...bottle gourd and bitter gourd and some tomatoes and ladies finger in another seed tray. Let's see how many of them are going to come out. Tomatoes saplings from the last week can wait for few more days to be planted in pots. And I have some tomatoes ready to be harvested in few days. I wanted to harvest these chillies that you can see in picture. They are really spicy ones and I have a good produce. But then all of a sudden it started raining and I had to stop. Now, here I am tired and exhausted. I am yawning but have to avoid a nap for some time. Got another round of PTM ( parents teachers meet) for my elder daughter at 3:30. Yesterday, we finished talking to three subject teachers and today we have to meet the other two and the academic coordinator. No way is better to put nap away for a while than mylotting. So, here I am Let's enjoy

I hope you managed to get in a short nap after the conferences. The peppers and tomatoes can always wait a day or two more.

Not really the type to take naps. You had a wonderful afternoon gardening. I find it as a great way to relieve stress.

I need a 20_40 minutes nap every afternoon. I will take it after the PTM. I wake up at 5 and I need this nap badly to stay active for rest of the evening. I enjoy gardening. I find it very therapeutic.

You should give it another try. These days it is raining too much and that's killing many of these veggies. But otherwise we have a good weather throughout to get good produce.

@allknowing I have lost the last cucumber plant. We got few cucumbers and were expecting some more. But then the continuous rain killed it.

Are you deliberately leaving them to grow red to get seeds? I do that with few to get my own seeds for next crop. It's not raining continuously here. But yes we are getting it daily in the late afternoon or evening and it continues into night and next morning.

I did manage to get a 30 minutes nap after the meeting and it was enough to refresh me. Harvesting them feels so good. It's a harvest of labor and love that we put there

The Chillies indeed look like growing very well. PTM in the afternoon? I have mostly attended them during the morning hours. My younger child exams are just over and elder ones would be over soon. And after just a few days of break, the next grueling and busy term would start. Plus as parents we would also need to go through how the Mid Term papers went, what went wrong, what to and how to improve and so on. This apart from the challenges at the Office level where we are in a Must-Do situations in some ways. Plus some more life challenges. Oh sometimes it seems that something or someone is attacking us from all the directions. Meanwhile, N.S.Siddhu is providing entertainment in a new way by playing Resign-Resign and looks like the Congress is in a crisis !

It was a PTM from the coaching classes that she takes for her entrance exams coming soon. They have it in the evening after school time. Now it's a weekly one to meet the target and keep a check on it. School had it in second week of September. It was on Saturday. They are also starting with series of test to prepare them for boards in November. I agree with you. Parents too have a lot of homework to do. Tomorrow I have it for my younger one. I have a working day tomorrow. I will have to sneak out for some time around 12 to go and attend her PTM and then be back. We are meeting the teacher physically for the first time. School will start in a physical set up from second week of October. Siddhu is not capable of doing anything other than providing some time pass entertainment. Congress is in a mess.

These chillies look fresh. That's lots of efforts you are putting to grow these vegetables. Do you sell the veggies afterwards ?

No, I don't sell them. They are for personal use. I enjoy gardening and growing my veggies. And still I have to buy from stores. I don't have a big space to grow enough.

All went fine with the PTM. I did take a short nap later as I had to take care of few things in the evening. How are you? I am running behind here and have a lot to catch up. I have not read new posts lately. And today I plan to finish all my notifications before I loose some more of them.

When you live in independent houses, you have more space to do gardening. I have a little space but I have beautifully managed it and filled every inch with pots and plants
