A band wagon named toothbrushes and VR

So, I thought I would describe my latest tech purchase. That's right! Toothbrushes. The kind the astronauts used to fix the International Space Station. (No, I'm not kidding, there's an article on it here: https://hackaday.com/2013/02/26/hacking-the-international-space-station-with-a-toothbrush/ ) - Well I'm not sure it was those ones exactly - but I imagine those were just standard toothbrushes like the ones I bought. I'm kidding, the big techie thing I got was the Oculus by Facebook. This is the first major gaming platform I've owned, and - I thought that if indeed I have to start limit going out and being around people again (stupid pandemic!) - then this will help me be a little more sane. I'll write a more detailed review soon... for now - I will say that it is cool, and that there are lots of different titles available for it, the ones that interest me are the meditation, fitness, and occasional game titles.... But it is the honest truth that in my "curbside" order the 2 things I bought were the Oculus system, and a pack of toothbrushes. I just thought the combination of items was funny. @Hannihar Thanks! Yeah I was pretty stressed out about momma - until I realized that it's better her hip than anything else.... so greatful for that. Me, it's been a tough year, depression mostly.... I'll be alright though. Oh the gaming thing - I've not had a "game system" before... not big on games actually... see myself using more the fitness aspect of this thing How are you doing , friend?

@FayeHazel That roller coaster was so scary, that I had to keep my eyes closed. His daddy threw up I liked Jurassic Park a lot. I don’t blame your mother!

@DianneN Ha ha, lol! That rollercoaster is a mean on. Might have to try Jurassic Park.... I wish there was something like - the desktop area - the environment where you could actually walk around and interact with stuff. Not really a game, but like an experience. Then again, I think that's maybe where it's headed eventually

@moonandstars Oh yes... it is not the most comfortable thing... it has to sit just so on your face so you can see clearly,

I remember reading something about FB getting into gaming, but didn't realise it was with the Oculus.

Yeah - when my friend introduced me to it, I thought it was so weird that Facebook was getting into gaming platforms.... I know a lot of people don't like it, because it requires you to have a Facebook account

The combination is funny. I wonder which will get more use. Probably both will get about the same amount of use.

@FayeHazel It is just the tip. It's kind of the opening act for Holodecks.

@xander6464 Oooo Sometimes just the tip is really satisfying LOL That being said though - I think you're right. This thing will get more and more realistic and fairly soon it will be holodeck material
