Why I Never Have an Agenda

Hi! Instant update time.
I’m in Hannibal, Missouri, the home of Colonel Sherman T. Potter. They have statues around of another guy who lived here, a Sam Clemens or Mary Twine or something like that. 
Anyway, I’m sitting on the deck of the Mark Twain, ready to go on a sightseeing cruise on the Mississippi.
And this is why I never have an agenda when I go on vacation. I just saw the sign and said “why not.”
Why not, indeed.
As Jimmy Buffett said, the weather is here, I wish you were beautiful.

There weren’t that many on board today because it’s the middle of the week and the “off season” for tourism in the midwestern U.S.
Do I ever get lost? Yes, and that’s part of the fun of traveling!!!!

@merrybelle2021 — I have a GPS navigator in my phone. I also know the way the interstate system is numbered in the US (even- numbered interstates go east-west and odd-numbered interstates go north-south).

Sounds like a delightful thing cruising on the Mississippi, There was an entertainment barge in Riga Latvia called the Misisipi that is how they spelled it and it was fun going to the bar there and cruising down the Daugava River

I know where you are! My ex grew up an hour south of there and we'd see the signs for the sightseeing cruises and other attractions all the time.

Hmm….guess that means we can’t go to the Keys together……
Seriously, I do understand the necessity for that, especially in the pandemic world. I think my dad was one of those. I’ve done both on the same vacation (when I took my mom to Niagara Falls….and we ended up in the Smokies later 
). I just I’m too spontaneous a person to have a schedule. Plus, I like to sleep late.

@FourWalls I don't like to sleep late. I can't anyway. I'm up all night. As far as spontaneous, we know where and what we will do; but we never know when. We don't make any reservations as we go because we may stay somewhere a night or two nights or maybe not stay there at all.
