Facebook Looks like an Obituary Site

I seldom browse my facebook account. I always on the messenger checking for important messages only.
Lately, when I visited the site, there have been a lot of profile pictures with candles or black background which only means that someone they love died for some reasons. It is really heartbreaking seeing something like that and reading messages of condolences to the one who posted it.
I think this pandemic has brought that chaos in the lives of many. Tragic mostly. I send prayers to those people who lost their loved ones.
Do you also notice this?

I also just use the messenger and share my articles. I do not interact there.

@cherigucchi I really do. It's been years. My account was made when Facebook was still in the beta phase. And it just got worse and worse.
And yeah I read you that you seldom browse. But I just told you that I don't anymore that's why I don't see those.

The profile pics usually show that they are grieving over the loss of a loved one

@cacay1 I agree. Seems like another Christmas will pass with the fear of virus lurking around.
We need a miracle.

I don't go on Facebook much either but when I do I've not seen that sort of thing. They may be including those backgrounds for other than family or friends too unless they all mention why.
