In my city of Baguio, we are following additional 7 commandments aside from the commandments of God. I am sure you are intrigued by it. Let me share these "7 Public Transport Commandments" that is being circulated in public transportations. I am not sure if it is being implemented in other cities or provinces in the Philippines. 1st: Wear face masks and face shields. 2nd: No talking and making telephone calls. 3rd: No eating. 4th: Keep PUVs well-ventilated. 5th: Conduct of frequent disinfection. 6th: No passengers with COVID-19 symptoms are to be allowed inside the public transportation. 7th: Observe appropriate physical distancing ("one-seat-apart") rule. I am sure there are some loopholes running in your mind right now. Please do share them here. I have so many questions when reading these new commandments. What do you think, guys? Do you want to add more?

We too have some of these rules here in public places.. I think government and authorities are doing their best to keep people safe.

I can agree more with your statements. At first, I find it weird seeing them around my city now.

@arunima25 I agree. We really need to force ourselves to do these things now.

@Shavkat Everything seemed weird...mask or social distancing or using sanitizer like crazy. But now it seems like a norm. We are getting used to it.

Do they do temperature check before allowing passengers to get in the bus? We have similar rules here except for the one-seat apart rule. This one was abolished in July 2021

@Shavkat even though we have all these rules in place over here, they are not really being followed. Covid cases are rising over here and so are the mortalities.

You got one loophole. The drivers are not doing them. It is far better riding a taxi than a jeepney. A plastic sheet is the only one used to separate the passengers. It is also another flaw.

@Nawsheen Indeed. It is all a matter of being cooperative in times like this.

At least you have those. Went out last Friday to go to my previous office and observed that social distancing isn't observed in PUVs.

@allen0187 I agree. I heard on the TV news recently. Some Filipino experts claimed that wearing face shields is more prone to be infected with this coronavirus.

I am quite scared riding jeepneys and mini-buses here. The only thing that separates the passengers is the thin sheets of plastic.

I sometimes see people here that don't bother checking them.

We have the same rules even in the stores, except the face shield that has never been required.

It is still debatable in my city if we need to follow the newest directive of our president not to use face shields anymore.

@Shavkat The masks were and still are mandatory here, but never the face shield. Nothing has changed for the moment.

It's good that there are rules to be followed in public transportation. Here in India, no public transport rules being followed much. Again there is crowd in buses

I hope the local government there can do something about it. I assumed that it is possible.

I do think it was a good reminder for the locals here. One of my concerns is how will the drivers know if their passengers are inflicted with the coronavirus.

@Shavkat I think we will know because if a person is infected with the virus, that person will be isolated and will not be permitted to travel using public vehicles.

@iKONICNoona I do agree with you. If a person is showing the signs and symptoms, then he or she is infected. But then, it is best to be tested to confirm it.
