Do You Feel Peer Pressure When It Comes To Your Appearance?

Back in the day, I was a 94-pound waif.
Fast forward to today. An obese 170-pound.
Back in the day, for good grades, my family spoiled me with good clothing, the best hairstylists, etc.
Fast forward to today? On my own wearing thrift clothes.
Men do not look at me anymore. I know the problem is my appearance and you can argue with me all that you want.
They may not like my appearance, but I am a good cook. You know the phrase "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach"? Why isn't a man in my kitchen?
I do not compete. That is one rule. Either a man wants me or not. If he has eyes for another woman, then he can have her.
So, yes. I feel peer pressure when it comes to my appearance.

Not anymore. I was when i was in my teens. I was underweight. Too skinny and insecure. And some girls hated me in high school coz they said i walked like a supermodel. Little did they know i was suffering from excessive lordosis.
But now i simply don’t care. I’m not overweight anymore. And I’m happy with the way i look. No pressure.

I don't feel pressure when it comes to my appearance. I am beautiful
I'm kind of the opposite to you in that I was never spoiled with good clothing, etc. Not that I have anything like that now. I'm more a fan of comfort and a good price than I am of fashion and style!
My husband loves me the way I am. He thinks I'm beautiful. I know I don't have a 'typical beauty' sort of face, but I have an honest face, nice skin (no make-up), and I know my eyes are very emotive and that's what my husband likes.
You're right about not competing. If a man can be taken by another woman, he wasn't right for you anyway.

Maybe I felt a bit when I was a teen. But then I know that I am beautiful in my own way and I am comfortable in my skin.
They say that beauty is skin deep. So, someday someone will see that inner beauty and fall in love. Those going for outer appearance have a shallow attitude and it's good if they are not in your life.

No, I don't feel peer pressure because my little friend circle are nerds and geeks and little concerned with looks.
I feel men would be at a loss if they don't choose you. You may gained some weight but you have good looks genes and the most important part is you are a great cook and men who are picky about foods like me it is a boon.
