I don't see any reference to sleep-giving properties here (Holland & Barrett are a well-respected health food provider in the UK), but many of the claims for its other uses seem to be unsubstantiated. You might also want to consider the side effects mentioned, too.

@buenavida Well, that doesn't give it a whole lot of credence! Al Sears has been called out as a snake oil merchant by at least one site.

My wife bought some packs of mushroom coffee ( I believe it is reishi) from a friend she cannot refuse doing networking. Besides good sleep it claims to be also good for the immune system

@buenavida most alternative natural medicines has a " no therapeutic value" something on them till they a big discovery is made and big pharmaceuticals claim it
