Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. From today, the festival of Navratri is starting in India. Navratri means Nine Nights. It's a very big festival celebrated across India for nine nights. It's a Hindu festival wherein the people worship Goddess Durga. Prayers are conducted every morning and in evening. People generally fasts during this auspicious days. It's celebrated on a huge scale especially in Gujarat. People wear colourful costumes and play "Garba" and "Dandiya" dance. Garba dance is played by clapping hands in different ways. Dandiya dance is done by using colourful sticks and playing with them by forming big circles. This year as the cases have declined, the Gujarat Government has given permission for playing the dance in small bylanes of different areas with 400 people, however following the rules. The arrangement for virtual prayers and dancing is also organised this time due to pandemic. Just thought to share it with you guys. Have a good day. Take care!!

Yes, these 9 days are very auspicious. We dont eat onions, no vegetarian food these days. These days are well celebrated in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Hope you enjoy Garba and Dandiya but follow the protocols as well.

@cacay1 it's a Hindu festival that lasts for nine days. On every nine days, a separate goddess is worshipped. People keep fast on these days.

@cacay1 fasting has numerous health benefits. It draws us closer to the Lord. For me prayer has always been a form of meditation and the more I pray the better I feel
