No, The Communications-Network IS NOT Responsible for the Appropriateness of the Content!

The News-Media has been repeating the Facebook-official's (probably EX-'Facebook-official) accusation that Facebook is just in it for the profits & doesn't care about the safety of the young minds on Facebook or any of their services. I don't know what Facebook's current people think, but I know that OUR APPROPRIATE/INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR IS NOT THEIR JOB! I have a feeling they've tried to tell me this before---I will frequently get invited to 'friend' profiles where THE ENTIRE PROFILE is nothing but a post inviting people to join a s#x-network. I'll usually REPORT such profiles as "Fake" or "Inappropriate"; but then--since the post's picture isn't TOO inappropriate and there's no lusty writing on the profile--Facebook will always NOTIFY me that "there's no violation on that profile.' What brought this up just now: AT&T's involvement with OAN (particularly its more 'white supremacist'-operations. I was going to say 'No! AT&T is not responsible for the white supremacists' misuse of Free Speech!' but then I looked again, and saw that MoveOn says AT&T single-handedly funds the white supremacy propaganda network! (Yahoo!'s sources confirm ...) (Oh, I don't care if DIRECTV--formerly an AT&T company--carries OAN; but only if OAN is paying!)
A report claims AT&T is the largest financial backer for One America News, even as OAN has been banned for spreading misinformation online.

I'm seriously considering switching from ATT to T-Mobile after this news.

John Oliver (LAST WEEK TONIGHT) hated AT&T (HBO's parent-company) even before all this came out.
