Chinar is the name of a tree and there is a location near Dal Lake, Srinagar, Kashmir known as Char Chinar, simply because one can see the reflection of two chinars in the lake and that makes them char chinar and char means four
It was an option when we were in Kashmir to visit this location and yes we could see the reflection of the two trees.
Wonder what will happen if the trees decide to die. Will the location still be called char chinar

It's possible, no matter what happens to the trees. People like their tradations after all.

Good point
If you have seen snow then the excitement will not be as great as we snow starved normally get.

@Fleura Kashmir is naturally beautiful. We stayed opposite the Dal Lake and used to go for early morning walks on the road that skirted the lake.
