The books I placed on hold were waiting for me...

I went to the library on Wednesday to return the books I borrowed. While there I decided to check the hold shelves to see if the books I had placed on hold were there.
I did not receive an email from the library that the books are already there so I was surprised when the shelf had three books waiting for me. I wonder why I never received an email that my books are ready for pick up. They usually always do that.
I already started reading one of the books, which is a mystery with recipes called A Catered New Year’s Eve by Isis Crawford. After that I will read the next book in the series called A Catered Book Club Murder. The last book to read is The Address by Fiona Davis.

Good thing I checked the holds shelf. I didn’t expect the books to be there yet.

Last three books I read in less than three weeks, which is the loan period.

I find that strange. I am glad I checked though so I was able to get the books. Saved me another trip.

Maybe they don't send it the instant the books come in. And after I already picked them up there was no need for the email anymore.
