Couldn’t fall asleep

Hubby came home from work yesterday and told me he is gonna go to his cousin’s house after dinner; around 10pm. One of his friends that moved to Florida came to NYC and was at his cousin’s house and he wanted to see him. So, that’s what he did.
As soon as we finished dinner he bounced. He came home around 1:40 am. I was still awake at the time. Tried to go to sleep around midnight but was unsuccessful. Even after he came home—falling asleep and snoring the instant he hit the pillow—I still couldn’t fall asleep. And for a while. The fact that he was snoring loudly didn’t help.
I wonder when he was actually invited to his cousin’s house. I hate it when I find out almost last minute that he is going somewhere instead of being told about it ahead of time. And I am not a fan when he comes home in the middle of the night.

This is his normal routine. I doubt he'll ever change.

Though more than once he'd get up on his day off, shower, get dressed, and then tell me he is going to a shooting range.

@lovebuglena My husband is better; but he will still get dressed and THEN tell me he's going to Walmart, etc.

I can't fall asleep for real until he comes home. Even if I doze off I will still wake up.
