Sweet Potato

I had sweet potato and salad as my lunch today.
in here, there are three kind of sweet potato - White, yellow ones and purple ones. The most sweet is yellow color, and purple ones sometimes a bit bitter. The one that I had today was white one.
We just steam it for today, but sometimes we fry that or make it as patty ball with coconut sugar mixed into it.
Have you try to eat this kind of sweet potato?

@Vree0937 We steam it. For sweet dish, we mash it well and mix it with milk and add some sugar or jaggery. Else we eat it with butter, garlic, salt and pepper

@arunima25 Yes, thats what my mom do too when she's in mood - for sweet dish. But for salty dish, usually we do it with cassava ones

There are two types here a short of orange and red and both are good. We boil or bake ours and I eat mine with butter salt and pepper. My husband puts brown sugar in it.

@Vree0937 I like it that way without any sweetener. Possibly your sweet potatoes the aren't as sweet as ours are and you might need the additional sweetener but I find what I use brings out the sweetness.
