I have a flexible spending account. Our school has a new service provider for benefits. Without warning they shut off our cards. New cards are in the mail. Supposed to be here last week.NOT I am frustrated, because it is MY money and I have to fill out a claim form for now if I want to use it. Grrr.

I've got a similar account as part of my benefits. I can just upload a receipt and submit a claim online and they direct deposit the money into my account within 24-48 hours. Its easy peasey.

I have money taken out, monthly and put in this account and I have a debit card to use on said account. I have liked it, but am not happy right now.

@Juliaacv Ours s from our paycheck but it is not paid by the employer, like an extra perk. It is taken out from my check before taxes to reduce my tax obligation.

@GardenGerty Oh that is different then the arrangement that we have. Our money is put into the account from our employer.

Me too. I am just glad that I have been able touse it for a while and got my diabetic supplies before they did this.

No, I do not believe they did. Just a done deal and then "here is this claim form".
