A Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) 2 train operator has shown to his passengers and eyewitnesses his heart of compassion when he saw a small black cat on the train tracks at the 42nd Street station on Saturday by stopping his train to avoid hitting the poor cat. The subway operator whose name was not mentioned then got out of the subway train to pick up the cat and place him on the platform before he got back into the subway to continue his run and complete the stop at the station. I am sure that the subway operator will receive an award for saving the life of a cat that for some strange reason decided to jump into the train tracks either by his own power or someone tossed the cat onto the tracks which I doubt is the case since there were many passengers on the platform waiting for the subway to arrive and they would done something about the person who attempted to harm the cat.

@Nakitakona New York City does have its share of crazy people jumping in front of subways by being pushed by someone else or trying to end their own lives.

That is true since subway operators need to watch out for animals as well as humans that can fall into the railroad tracks.

Poor cat, I am glad that the driver noticed the small black cat, hard to see from the cabin.

That is true since I am sure that the lighting inside of the train station did assist the subway operator to see the cat on the train tracks.

I agree with you since subway operators have a responsibility to watch out for cats and humans that can fall into the path of a train by accident,

Aye just as well for the cat that the un named driver stopped the train. Mind you, if it had got hit it wouldn't have known much about it.

You are right since the train operator must have good vision to see a train on the train tracks from inside of his cabin.

The same here since I love cats even if they do not like me that much.
